Ireland Tour Day Seven

Yesterday we started the morning with a walking tour of Derry and the Derry City Walls, Rury (could be spelt wrong) was our guide and he told us lots about the history of Derry and the walls and the conflict etc. It was a very interesting walk and talk and we ended at the Sunday Bloody Sunday memorial before Joe picked us up in our bus and we headed off for the day.

First stop was Grianan of Aileach which is the coolest fort ever, totally want one at my place when I get one. Haha I got so excited when we walked through the door that I ran to the steps and ran up to the top :) The views from the top were also incredible, only downer was how cold and windy it was so we didn't stay up there that long.

Next was lunch in Letterkenny, we ate at a lovely lil cafe place and I got a chocolate and caramel cake that used pecans and walnuts as the base - so so yum.

After lunch we headed to Glenveagh National Park and Glenveagh castle. The grounds reminded me of Desert Road and the castle was pretty wicked. Heather, Bradley, Alex and I started walking to the viewpoint, Alex and I made it while the other two headed back down after a bit. The views were worth it though the castle was tiny as by the time we got to the top lol.

After walking back to the bus we headed back to Derry for the night. Ate dinner at a really nice Italian place then headed to a bar which had karaoke, we weren't singing just chilling. Some of the people weren't too bad either.

Was a very good day, and today we are off to Giants Causeway and Belfast for the night.
