Ireland Tour Day One

Yesterday we started our bus tour from Dublin. The first stop was the Guinness factory where we got to wander through 5 levels on information and displays. It was only so-so for me, not really all that interested in how beer is made and couldn't have the free Guinness at the end, didn't get to pour my own as wanted to us the ticket for a soft drink. There was only a couple of interactive things which was a lil disappointing. Both were quizzes, on the one about alcohol and drinking in general I got 8/10, on the on Guinness I got 3/8, shows how much attention I paid lol. Now don't get me wrong it wasn't a boring place or anything, there were many cool displays, we just wasn't heaply interested.

We then left Dublin to head south, and stopped at the ruins of Dunamase Castle which were not only cool ruins but also had a very cool view of the surrounding area.

After a short break for lunch at a stop just off the highway we then headed towards where we were staying for the night, a small town on the Dingle Peninsula, with a short stretch the legs stop at a small town called Adare. In Adare we wandered up and down the main street, then round the local park and then checked out the historical exhibition at the visitors centre, the first display was pretty random and it just continued from there lol. Wished I coulda spent longer there as think it coulda been fun to read all about.

When we got to the accommodation we all headed next door to the pub for dinner, a few drinks and some pool. There are 15 people on the tour at the moment (7 of us are doing the 9 day and 8 are doing the 6 day Republic of Ireland tour, both are combined at the moment), 7 of us are young-ish (ages range from 21-39) and then there are some older people (ages range from parents to grandparents lol). Most are Americas with a couple Canada's and then a Aussie, South African and me so rugby jokes have obviously been made lol. Us younger ones all hung out and got to know each other last night, they are all very cool so I think it's gonna be a good trip :)

Ireland is very pretty, and very very green at the mo. Reminds me a lot of NZ, def enjoying driving round it even if it does get boring sometimes.
